On the afternoon of September 20, 2025, the Business Management Discipline Development Forum was successfully convened at the Smart Decision and Innovation Space of Wuhan University. The forum brought together distinguished experts and scholars from 12 renowned universities, including Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, to engage in insightful discussions on the current landscape of business management education in China and provide strategic guidance for the development of the discipline at Wuhan University. The forum was presided over by Professor Liu Linqing, Associate Dean of the school.
In her opening address, Professor Wang Liping, Party Secretary of the school, extended a warm welcome to all participating scholars. She emphasized the importance of maintaining strong collaborative relationships with peer institutions and called for enhanced cooperation in teaching, scientific research, and resource sharing to jointly advance the development of the business management discipline. Following this, Professor Huang Minxue, Associate Dean, delivered a comprehensive overview of Wuhan University's Economics and Management School, with particular focus on the progress of business management discipline development and the construction of the Smart Decision and Innovation Space.
Additionally, Professor Tu Yidong from the Business Management Department presented a specialized report on the development of human resource management studies.
In her concluding remarks, Professor Li Yanping expressed sincere gratitude for the experts' support and highlighted the critical juncture in business management education development. She stressed the necessity for strengthened collaboration among universities to overcome existing challenges and jointly pursue the long-term advancement of the discipline.
