Marketing Faculty and Students Explore AI-Driven Innovation at 2025 JMS Conference

From November 6 to 9, a delegation of faculty and doctoral students from the Department of Marketing and Tourism Management attended the 2025 JMS Marketing Science Annual Conference at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Led by Professors Huang Minxue, Zeng Fu'e, Xu Lan, and Meng Lu, the group engaged in discussions focused on the theme of "The Future of Marketing in Human-AI Collaboration: New Theories and Ecosystems."

Professor Zeng Fu'e delivered a keynote titled "Marketing Decision-Making in the Context of Generative AI," where she presented her latest research on how generative AI is reshaping marketing decision processes and practices. Her innovative perspectives sparked lively dialogue among attendees. Professor Xu Lan also contributed as an invited speaker, addressing challenges and opportunities for marketing theory frameworks in an era of human-AI integration.

The conference provided a valuable platform for academic exchange, bringing together over 30 alumni from institutions such as Zhejiang University and Sichuan University. Participants explored cutting-edge research in marketing technology, platform economy, and intelligent business, strengthening both scholarly networks and the school's visibility in the field.

The JMS Annual Conference, organized by the Editorial Board of the Journal of Marketing Science, is one of the largest and most influential academic events in Chinese marketing. Since its inception in 2004, it has served as a key platform for sharing research and advancing marketing scholarship.
