On September 28, the 4th IAS Bimonthly Macroeconomics Forum was successfully held at the School of Economics and Management, co-organized by Wuhan University’s Advanced Research Center and the School itself.
Professor Nie Jun, Dean of the School of Economics and Management and Co-Director of the Advanced Research Center, delivered an opening address welcoming scholars in the field of macroeconomics. He emphasized the forum’s commitment to fostering an open and collaborative academic environment, encouraging participants to share their latest and most innovative research findings to inspire new ideas and collectively advance the field.
Professor Gong Liutang, Director of the Advanced Research Center, highlighted that the Bimonthly Forum serves as a key precursor to the annual Macroeconomics Forum. He noted that through a series of such events, the center aims to invite leading scholars to share pioneering insights, thereby cultivating young students’ academic interests and gradually building a sustainable ecosystem for scholarly exchange. He expressed his hope to unite domestic and international colleagues dedicated to macroeconomic research, working together to establish a high-level platform for theoretical innovation and practical application in Chinese macroeconomics.
The forum facilitated vibrant exchanges among participants, broadening research perspectives and inspiring new directions. Attendees expressed enthusiasm for transforming insights gained into innovative academic outcomes and advancing future collaborative research.
